Earlier today, the Chicago Police Department unveiled its next generation squad car design. The unveiling took place at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show held at McCormick Place. The new design was developed by Police Officer Jennifer Jacobucci and was selected by a panel of police officers and community members. Squad Cars featuring the new design will begin service later this year and cars with the older design will remain unchanged. They older design cars will be slowly phased out until they reach their end of life.

Next Generation CPD Vehicle Design

Learn more about the next generation police vehicle that was unveiled today at the Chicago Auto Show in a video narrated by Chief of Patrol Fred Waller. These new vehicles will wear the first new CPD design in decades and was created by a Chicago police officer and selected by fellow officers and community members. Visit the car at the auto show from February 10th – 18th at McCormick Place.
