Patrolman Frank L. Miller, Star #6266, aged 39 years, was an 11 year, 10 month, 29 day veteran of the Chicago Police Department, assigned to the Motorcycle Division.

On May 30, 1941, Officer Miller was riding his police motorcycle when he saw a speeding vehicle. The officer was in pursuit of the vehicle when he lost control of his motorcycle on the 1000 block of East 75th Street. Officer Miller was severely injured and transported to Jackson Park Hospital where he was pronounced dead on June 1, 1941.

Officer Miller was waked at a chapel located at 9108 South Cottage Grove Avenue. His funeral mass was held at St. Francis de Paula Church located at 7822 South Dobson Avenue. He was laid to rest on June 3, 1941 in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 2755 West 111th Street, Chicago, Illinois. His grave is located 1-0 hd. from North Line in Lot 118, Block 31, Section –.
