HISTORY
Chicago Police Department Monogram
Mostly forgotten about is the Chicago Police Department Monogram. This intertwined “C” “P” “D” figure was found on the side of early horse drawn patrol wagons, stationary and other official property of the police department. The monogram was used in the 1800’s and early 1900’s. The exact time frame of when it was introduced and when it became disused is unknown.
